Hello! I'm TAYA. I am a UX/UI Designer based in Houston, TX.

I have a passion for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interfaces that are easy-to-use and visually appealing for users of all levels of experience
I started my journey in Political Science, I realized that what truly excited me was using my creativity and seeing how it would impact the world around me. That's where my design journey began.
Throughout my design career have explored two different design fields, fashion design, and interior design, I have sharpened my visual skills and developed a keen attention to detail. Visual design has always been one of my strongest traits. I have an innate skill for observing color combinations and composition. I have also learned how to approach design problems in a more structured way during my interior design training.

As a first-generation Asian American, I am influenced by two different cultures. They broaden my perspective and provide me a diverse range of ideas when it comes to a visual design. I believe that everything can be seen from more than one point of view, this helps me to develop fresh design perspectives. Coming from two different “worlds” allows me the ability to empathize and see different views for different challenges.

My skills include conceptualizing the user's journeys, identifying potential usability issues, conducting research to understand target audiences' needs in order to create solutions tailored specifically towards them. I specialize in designing web-based interfaces for desktop and mobile devices with an emphasis on usability.
